 |
| The Priory is set in an acre
of private and secluded walled gardens, in a quiet part
of Callander. |
 |
| |
| A Victorian house, it was formerly a Church
of Scotland Manse, or minister's home, built around 1870. |
| |
| It only takes a few minutes to walk to the
shops, restaurants or Callander's excellent 18 hole golf
course. |
|
| |
| Alternatively, relax in the well appointed, large
Victorian lounge - in which newspapers, books and magazines
are provided. |
| |
| Whatever the purpose of your visit to Callander,
The Priory will pleasantly surprise you, with caring, friendly
service in comfortable surroundings. |
| |
| ACCOMMODATION: |
|
The refurbished Priory offers an exceptionally
high standard of accommodation, with countryside views from
the rooms.
Each bedroom is bright, spacious and well-equipped, with: |
| |
private en-suite facilities
colour television and radio
hairdryer
tea and coffee making facilities |
| |
| One twin bedded room is located on the ground floor
and has easy access, making it suitable for those with mobility
difficulties. One of the rooms has a king-sized four poster
bed, whilst the family room has a double and two single beds. |
| |
| FOOD & DRINK: |
|
| The Priory's popular breakfast buffet includes
an abundance of cereals, fruits, fruit juices, yoghurts, ham,
cheese, local home-made bread and scones. |
| |
| In addition, there is always a varying cooked breakfast
from the grill available. |
| |
| Breakfast can be taken in the sunny conservatory,
which is also available as a second guest lounge. |
| |
| LOCATION: |
|
From either the M80 or M9 motorways, it takes about
20 minutes to reach The Priory.
Edinburgh and Glasgow Centres and Airports are about 1 hour's
drive away. |
| |
| LEISURE: |
|
| Callander is almost in the geographical centre
of Scotland, a convenient location from which to tour The Trossachs,
The Highlands, or take a day trip to Oban, Fort William, Glencoe,
Pitlochry, Perth, Loch Lomond or St Andrew's. |
| |
| Many outdoor pursuits are available in the town,
including golfing - Callander Golf Club is just a miss hit 9
iron from The Priory's back door. In fact, it is the closest
guest house to the first tee. |
| |
| A number of other golf courses are within a short
drive and tee-off times are available - the resident proprietors,
Mark and Judith Everett, also try to play golf! |
| |
| Callander shopping, bowls, tennis, cycling, fishing,
pony trekking and water sports are available to the visitor.
Regardless of age, there is something for everyone nearby. |
| |
| This region is second to none for walking and hiking,
with leisurely strolls through woodland or meadow starting from
The Priory's garden. |
| |
| More energetic walks, to Bracklinn Falls or the
summit of Ben Ledi, at almost 1,000 metres, offer rewarding
views of Perthshire. |
